For Families

Families are equal partners with WOLCS in creating success for our students. We want our families to be involved in the school life of their children, in learning along with them, and in making life-long learning fun.

We welcome your involvement as volunteers and as audience members and participants in parent programs. We also welcome your involvement through on-going, open communication with teachers about your child's progress, and through your commitment to supporting your child's learning at home.

At WOLCS we're working hard to attain excellence.

The school day for students at WOLCS begins at 8:00 AM and ends at 3:30 PM. Our school year extends 190 days for students and 205 days for staff. Teachers participate in two weeks of intensive professional development in mid-August. In addition, each Wednesday, students are dismissed early to allow teachers to participate in structured professional development activities.

You can help to shape our school community, so plan to be an active member of the WOLCS Parent Organization.
