For Parents

Parents are equal partners with the school in creating success for our students. We want parents to be involved in the school life of their children. We need your involvement in the school community. Three ways you can become more involved:

Maintain open communication channels with teachers and school staff about your child’s performance in school as well as about any concerns you may have.
Participate in school/community meetings, functions and projects.
Become familiar with the terms of the Student Code of Conduct, discuss school rules with your children, and help them to comply with school rules.

The school day for students at WOLCS begins at 8:00 AM and ends at 3:30 PM. Our school year extends 190 days for students and 205 days for staff. Teachers participate in two weeks of intensive professional development in mid-August. In addition, each Wednesday, students are dismissed early to allow teachers to participate in structured professional development activities.
