Our Board

“We at West Oak Lane Charter School are pleased and proud to be completing our ninth year of operation. In that time the school has expanded to include kindergarten through eighth grades, and we have increased our enrollment to almost 700 students. We have enhanced the school’s facility to include bright, comfortable classroom spaces, a computer lab equipped with state of the art hardware, and a well designed science lab. We have also built the Kathleen Odoms Library which has a sizeable collection of diverse books and research materials as well as computer access.

In each of the last two years we have achieved AYP by improving the overall performance of our students and reducing the percentage of students scoring below proficient on the Pennsylvania System of School Assessment (PSSA). Our plans are to do even better.

Our charter has been renewed for another five year term. And our new administrative team has set its sights on moving WOLCS from Good to Great.”
