Seeking Nominations for FBI Parent Organization

Pass the Word:  The Families Being Involved (FBI) organization is looking for officers for the 2018-2020 term.  The offices consist of: President, Vice President, Secretary, & Treasurer.  All Officers serve as ambassadors for WOLCS, attend FBI monthly meetings, manage membership drives, promote the polices and work of WOLCS to develop good public relations and support school functions.

Our goal is to have a greater level of parental involvement in the 2018-2019 school year!  All members have a voice and can not only vote in the upcoming election for FBI officers but can also choose to run for office as a leader of FBI.  We want to get parents working directly with us in planning events and activities that celebrate student learning and achievement. We want to enhance school-home communications and share with parents and guardians’ strategies they can adopt to support their children’s success in school.

Nominations will be accepted from April 4th thru April 30, 2018.  To be eligible, nominees must be the parent or guardian of a student attending West Oak Lane Charter School and have a paid FBI membership, which can be obtained on the same day the nomination form is submitted.  Parents with a membership can nominate themselves or someone else by completing the Nomination form online, at parent conferences on April 4th  (1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. & 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.), or in the main office.  Officers will be elected by ballot at the next FBI general meeting on May 16, 2018 at 6:00 p.m.
