SECURITY SPECIFICATIONS
FOR
BID PREPARATION

 

Contract length         8/1/2025 – 6/30/2026

Please submit five professional references and proof that your organization meets the insurance requirements prior to the walkthrough via email ([email protected]) or fax (215-927-7980).

 

Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Report to the school's Head of Security for daily assignments.
  • Provide proactive security services to effectively provide for the safety and welfare of students, staff, and visitors while on school grounds.
  • Control the entrances and exits of visitors, students and employees; meet and greet students, staff, and public in a positive manner.
  • Issue visitor passes; assist authorized visitors and direct to proper personnel/department.
  • Assure student compliance with school and district rules and procedures.
  • Communicate information in response to safety inquiries.
  • PA Act 235 Certification
  • Active Shooter Training
  • Shelter-in-Place Training - OSHA

 

Please provide hourly rates based on the following:

 

  1. Must provide 5 uniformed guards. 
    • 3 guards 7:00 am – 4:00 pm MTHF; 7:00 am – 1:00 pm Wednesdays
    • 2 guards 3:00 pm – 10:00 pm Monday through Friday
  2. Patrol exterior grounds periodically.
  3. Patrol interior building hourly.
  4. When classes break, guard should be up and about in an effort to curtail poor behavior in hallways.  Note incidents in logbook and report to office.
    • Company must have a minimum of 5 years in the security business.  Must provide proof of license, insurance, child abuse clearance and bonding. 
    • Guards must have recent criminal background check and child abuse clearance certificates.
    • Must be able to provide weekend coverage with minimum of 24-hour notice.

Selection Criteria

Proposals will be evaluated and ranked using the value assigned to each criterion. Once the technical and cost criteria have been evaluated and ranked, WOLCS may negotiate both components with any vendor receiving an average of 80 points or more (See Appendix B).
