Dr Lee's 20th Anniversary at WOLCS

Celebrating 20 years of WOLCS. 💚💙

Dr. Debbera Peoples-Lee stepped in as our CEO in 2006, and she has led with passion, vision, and a whole lot of love ever since.

Dr. Lee brought something new to our school: proven business management practices woven into how WOLCS runs every day. She didn't just lead for the moment. She built systems strong enough to keep our school growing for years to come.

Under her leadership, 1,337 students have walked across our graduation stage. Every one of them left ready for Philadelphia's top-tier, high-performing high schools, and 59% of our 8th graders have earned spots at Special Admit and Private Admit schools. Those numbers carry her fingerprints.

Her impact reaches far beyond our building, too. Dr. Lee serves on local boards and committees, including the Pennsylvania Coalition of Public Charter Schools and the African American Charter School Coalition. She stays tuned in to the decisions that shape our families' futures, and she always speaks up for our students.

What we love most? Dr. Lee shows up every single day for her students, parents, guardians, staff, and neighbors. Her presence is felt in every hallway and every classroom.

Dr. Lee, thank you for 20 years of leading us like family. 💚
