Requirements for all teaching positions

  • Knowledge of Pennsylvania academic content standards
  • Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum design and delivery, teaching and learning for individuals and groups.
  • Skill in selecting and using appropriate instructional methods and materials when teaching new subjects.
  • Ability to monitor and assess students’ performance to identify areas for improvements and to remediate when appropriate.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with teachers, parents, administrators and other members of the school.
  • Pennsylvania Certification K-8, Special Education (Instructional I or II) bachelor’s and or master’s degree in education preferred.

Salary commensurate with experience and certification level 50K-102K


EXCEPTIONALLY COMPETITIVE BONUS up to $10,000 with required certification.


Math Specialist

The Math Instructional Specialist is accountable for assisting teachers, students and more directly, the Director of Mathematics with achieving school-wide math goals at WOLCS. The position involves instructional work in support of the implementation of the various math curricula serving grades K through 8. The Math Instructional Specialist will work with the Director of Mathematics to ensure that math instruction is data driven, design and implement interventions, as well as administer assessments and collects data. He/she will also assist in evaluating and monitoring student progress.

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

  • Pennsylvania Instructional Certification required. Pennsylvania Middle Level Mathematic Certification (Instructional I) is recommended.
  • Bachelor's degree at an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum of two - three years' satisfactory teaching experience in Math instruction.

Salary commensurate with experience and certification level 65K+


School Counselor

Our School Counselor will provide in-person support and services to K-8 students. This position must have a current PA certification in school counseling. Responsibilities include advising and counseling students regarding academic, educational, and short-term social and emotional problems. Consulting, facilitating, and maintaining communication with parents, teachers, administrators, and outside agencies associated with student/family related matters. Providing documented feedback/recommendations/plans/strategies to aide with addressing student’s academic and/or educational needs and abilities. Assist with identifying students who may need targeted or intensive services, and coordinate with the appropriate behavioral health agencies/specialists.

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in counseling/Guidance, Education, or Social Work (preferred)
  • PA State Counselor Certification required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of school counseling experience
  • All required clearances



Provide support and assistance to teachers in the classroom working with students in various educational settings. Assist classroom teachers in implementing instructional plans and strategies. Supervise and monitor students during instruction, recess, and other activities. Assist with the implementation of behavior management plans. Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff to promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:

  • 60+ college credits required.
  • Prior experience working with students in a school setting is preferred.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and interact with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to follow directions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
