Welcome to Our School

Dear West Oak Lane Charter School Community, Staff, and Families,
As we celebrate our 20th anniversary, we have much to be proud of and to reflect upon!   For 20 years West Oak Lane Charter School, families, WOLCS Board of Trustees, and administration have supported our students in achieving at high levels.  For the past 12 years, I have been truly honored to serve as your CEO and I know the best is yet to come.
This celebration reflects all that we have accomplished as a collective group of individuals committed to children.  The achievements of our children and the many exciting accolades we have received affirms our success in facilitating learning for every child and their ability to feel valued, included, and nurtured.
As we work to ensure ongoing growth for West Oak Lane Charter School, we must remember that growth requires change.  We must also recognize that with change there are often challenges.  As we continue adjusting to changes in the education landscape, we must prepare ourselves for more hard-hitting challenges, while at the same time, learn to embrace those changes and the opportunities they present for future improvement in the quality of our educational program.  Changes make us better; challenges make us stronger.
To our former students, you have been nurtured and taught by the best – your teachers and your parents.  Continue to use your talents and the ones you discover along your journey to improve our community and our world.  We are all tremendously proud of you and your accomplishments!
To our parents, we can’t thank you enough for entrusting us to provide a nurturing and quality educational experience for your children.  Your contribution to their academic career at WOLCS provide a sound partnership for ensuring their current and future success.
Whatever comes our way in the next 20 years, I am confident West Oak Lane Charter School will continue to empower children to be lifelong learners, critical thinkers, and contributing members of the 21st Century and beyond.
